The best sandwhich

   Helllllooooo Mr. Monday, Can't say I am glad to see you. Like almost any day I set my alarm for extra early with the hope I would actually get my butt out of bed and do my workout first thing....and like always I talked myself out of it. I had thought about going to the gym this morning but I have been doing extra lately on the elliptical and my legs were still sore form Sat and Sun.  I really wanted to do a run on the trace again after work also so I stayed in bed an extra hour. I always wake up, talk myself out of going to the gym, and then lay there in bed and think how I let myself down again and how if I could just get up and get moving I would be fine. Then the hour is gone and I don't go back to sleep and my alarm goes off again...and it's time for me to start getting ready for work.  It's a loose loose situation
   
    Work was work.  Not much to say really.  Just not enough time in the day to get everything done. I changed into my running clothes at work and was on the trail in the next 20 min.  I wanted to do 3.25 today, but my legs just felt sooooo heavy.  I felt like I could hardly move them and the  hills slight elevations felt like I was trying to run up a dern mountain.  I stopped my garmin 3 different times to catch my breath a little, maybe for 1 minute total and did 3.15 in like 36:45 or something like that. I am trying to figure out how to get my garmin results to my blog.  I logged this activity into my weight watcher app and I earned 7pp. 

    I also did good with my PP today. Breakfast I made a smoothie with chia seeds, spinach, almond milk , frozen banana, and ice. It was not bad. At work I had edamame for snack and an orange. Lunch I came hope and made a sandwhich with the every thing bagel thin, laughing cow cheese wedge, avocado, spinach, red and green bell pepper, Dijon. I was super yummy! So good that I came home after my run and made me one for supper....except I added a fried egg white and a vegan chicken patty. It was delish! I also had another orange to go with it tonight. It was devoured in like 5min. It was one of those sandwiches where when you pick it up to eat you are scared to set it back down for fear it will fall completely apart. Happy, happy, happy

     Good afternoon to ya!  I am feeling pretty good right now, although this morning I wasn't so sure.  I woke up feeling pretty puny.....I felt like the whole room was spinning and I was nauseous and thought I was going to up-chuck a little. Not too sure what was going on...some vertigo or something...maybe I knocked a crystal loose, sounds crazy but check this out read here. Any who, I got up and moved around and got shower and started to feel a little better.  I feel like I am always at Kroger...I know that's because I am always at Kroger.  I went twice yesterday and then this morning before work. gah!  I know.  I stopped by on the way home from work yesterday for lunch to get Bry some juice.  She was out and I didn't want her to drink any milk b/c she has had a low grade temp, so I go and get her some and then what does she want to drink then?? Water. Go figure.  Then I went to weight watchers to weight in and I was up .2 of a pound. Grrr.   After that I stopped by Kroger again on the way home to get the hubs something to eatfor supper. He wasn't feeling my tofu stir fry.  So that was trip number 2. My snack stash was empty at work so I decided to go this morning to get me some kashi bars and some  crack diet coke.  Maybe I can now make it to Friday before I go back there. After work I was determined to get in a run.  I didn't want to wait until tonight when it was dark and cold and run on my usual route up and down my drive way, so I went and did 3.1 miles on the Natchez trace. It was awesome!! Definitely will do that again. The path was great and the temp was perfect.  Now I'm giving the drama queen a bath which she very much needed.
   Oh, and I have done good with my pointsplus today.  I also went to the gym and did 30 minutes on the elliptical and go to face time with my Bro and beautiful niece.  An all round pretty good day! Happy, happy, Happy! I'll leave you with a pic of my beautiful baby girl.

Well, Hello there!  I don't even remember when my last post was... but here I am.  Not too much has changed in my life since then.  Still busy with work and chasing my now 3 year old baby. Yes, I will eternally call her my baby.  My weight continued to fluctuate and I ended up gaining 25 or so lbs through Christmas from the lowest I got down to. I got in a horrible rut and lost all my motivation that I once felt like I had.  I didn't care what I ate and didn't want to work out. I was in a bad funk !! I knew I had to do something or I would end up back where I started.  So,  I joined weight watchers at the beginning of the year and have lost about 11 or 12 lbs. I have lost every week (knock on wood...I didn't keep up with my points like I should have this week) Tomorrow is my weigh in.  And you better believe I will pee when I leave work and when I get to my meeting 15 minutes later.    I also joined this running program that one of our athletic shoe store gives in January.  It's to train you to run a 5K in like 12 weeks.  I really liked it at first bur I haven't been in 3 weeks.  It's a little too much for me right now.  I get off at 4:30 rush home and try to get ready and play with Bry only to rush out the door at like 5:30 to get the place in time. It just wasn't what I thought it would be. I still have been doing the running schedule on my own.  It's so hard for me to get started when I run but after the first 1o minutes or so, it's ON!   I will be running in the Color Me Rad 5K in March.  So hopefully i will be good and ready for that.

Genghis Grill

     Today was a good day, although I wasn't sure if it was going to be when I woke up.  My sweet baby girl started running a fever again last night.  I gave her some Motrin and that seemed to do the trick, so far no fever today. Just sneezy and a runny nose.  We got up, laid around, then went to pick up my  lifelong friend, Beth Ann.  We went to Barnes and Noble where I got a new vegan cookbook.  Can't wait to try out some new recipes.  Then we wen to a new restaurant Genghis Grill.  It is new to our area and it was sooo yummmy!!  Its a place where they make stir fry exactly the way you like it.  First, you pick whether you want noodles, steamed rice, brown rice, fried rice, then you go along this buffet style bar where you fill your bowl up with everything you want in your stir fry, I had tofu, sprouts, bell peppers, mushrooms, green beans, carrots, Bok-choy, onions, and other things, (my Bowl was full)  then you pick your sauce, and they had a lot to choose from. I got a sweet/tangy soy sauce.  It was so good even Brylee liked it. I will definetly be going back there.....maybe tomorrow after Church ;)  Once I start liking a place I could go there every day for every meal.  It that weird?? Who cares??

YAY! The diet bet officially started today. I need to keep this in the back of my mind when I thing I just have to have that extra candy bar or scoop of ice cream.  The pot I think is up to $880 WOW! I didn't think it would get that much.  I have been doing good on my goals....sort of.  I have been drinking more water and I haven't had chocolate in a few days.  On the other hand I haven't strength trained yet or logged a single mile.  I will either get on the treadmill later tonight or do a P90X workout.  If my back allows.  I have been having lots of trouble with my back hurting, so bad sometimes I can hardly walk or change positions so an exercise DVD has been out of the question lately.  I have been going to the chiropractor for a couple of months now.  I also increased the firmness on my sleep number bed which has surprisingly helped.  It still hurts sometimes, it's just not as intense.  My church is having their first 5K coming up in November and I think it's only 10 bucks. I plan on signing up for that and maybe that will give me enough time to train to run a 5K again.  Work was super crazy as usual today.  I am beginning to think it will never ever slow down.  I am so mentally drained by the time I come home that I have just physically tired.  Sometimes I think less pay and less stress would be worth it.  I didn't have much for breakfast...just some coffee.  For lunch I had a veggie sushi roll with brown rice, an orange for snack and a lettuce and guacamole salad with a side of pico de gallo l and some chips...but I didn't over indulge, so a huge accomplishment for me.

DietBet

   I was checking out some new blogs tonight when I came across this cool competition starting up.  It's an online diet bet.  Everyone who wants to play pays 20 bucks.  Everyone weighs in starting September 6 and it will go for 28 days. Everyone who looses 4% of their body weight gets to split the the total amount. I first saw it on this site.  I think its a great idea and maybe the push I need to get my butt back motivated again.  If you would like to joint just go here.  I think we have 14 people, and if it gets to 20 then $100 gets added to the pot. Pretty cool.  Today's post is short and sweet tonight.

Day 1: A Success!

Today was a good day!! Yay!  I drank my water, had no chocolate, and ate well.....even at the wedding.  I woke up around 8 am and did some laundry and house cleaning, ate some cheerios and almond milk. Brylee then woke up and we just played and colored a little bit. I went to old navy to try and find a new dress to wear to the wedding but it looked as though all their summer stuff was gone and only a few XS on the rack.  O well, at least I got Bry Bry a new dress.  I did find some shirts that I liked, so I bought three of them in different colors.  I wore purple and white, and Bry did too, we matched it was cute!  For  lunch I had veggie subway sandwich with avocado.  And supper I had a baked potato. I will try to get in more veggies tomorrow.  I had a bite of wedding cake at the wedding but that was it.  The wedding was sweet but freakin HOT because it was like 205 degrees outside.  Seriously, the back of my shirt was wet and every time someone gave be a hug I had to wipe their sweat off my face that they would leave behind. Gggrosss!  Then I came home and went grocery shopping ..got a few things for a whopping hundred bucks! actually $ 100.77.  I need to learn how to extreme coupon shop.  I am currently trying to figure how to upload photos from my google+ on my phone to here so hopefully I can post my pictures tomorrow!  Nighty night!
